THE TOWN AND HISTORY..... Here is the Info about the City and our Club. Neubrandenburg was founded on 14.12.1248 by Knight Herbort von Raven as New-Brandenburg. The city was built on the northend of the Tollensesee ( Lake Tollense).It is after Rostock and Schwerin the 3 biggest city in the Bundesland(County) Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. Actually lives 68000 people in Neubrandenburg. The highest population reached the town 1990 as 99800 citizens lived here. Neubrandenburg is located half way between Berlin and the Baltic sea in the north-east of germany.Before the reunion of germany in 1990 Neubrandenburg was a part of the GDR and county seat of the county names Neubrandenburg. In the Medival times Nebrandenburg was a great marketplace on the crossing roads between the east-west and the north-south trading routes.In this time the citizens of Neubrandenburg build the great defence wall and the famous 4 city gates that gave Neubrandenburg its name Vier-Tore-Stadt (Four Gate City). The most of this great Wall and the four gates are currently intact and the pride of the city. The People of Neubrandenburg build another famous building.The MarienKirche (Church). It is a typical north german Church in gothic style and a nice looking building hard hitten in the last days of WW II by the Soviet Red Army the destroyed the historical Neubrandenburg to 85%. The Core of the City and the church going up in fire and dust.After the War the church was rebuild and is after 40 years of work the symbol of the town. Today the church is the home of the Neubrandenburg Philamonie orchestera. Neubrandenburg is a nice place to live.A problem we have with is much jobless people(15%) and a small economy in the town.The famous company from Neubrandenburg are the Webasto Works the build air-conditions for cars and worldwide market leaders buy these systems.And we have a handful of medium companys that are located in Neubrandenburg. Neubrandenburg is a city of sport. Everybody knows the famous Athletics thats come from us town.Franka Dietsch,Ralf Bartels,Astrit Kumbernuss and Katrin Krabbe all of these athletes are olympic champions and great athlets.In Rowing Neubrandenburgs Sport Club has even brought a lot of sportsmen to the top of the top. Football is Number 3 In Neubrandenburg. We have round abount 50 Clubs located in ot short away from Neubrandenburg. The biggest Club of all is the 1.FC Neubrandenburg 04 with 800 Members and 40 Teams. The most of this teams are junior teams thats learn little boys and girls the handle of the ball. We have 3 Senior teams the first team played in the highest league of the county the Verbandsliga or 5 League. The Club was founded on 30.06 2004 from the Clubs FC Tollense Neubrandenburg(my Club) and SV Nevag Neubrandenburg.It was a fusion that the FC Tollense Club needed because we scratching short at ruin.The dilemma begins past years before as we go down from league for to 5 and in every year we try to get up to the 4 league.Not effort by this mission we reached 6 time the second place and this ruined the Tollense Club and miss managment by the chairmen. In the first year of the 1.FCN 04 we go down to league 6. It was a great shame for the Club and the Fans to see thats we play against very short towns! With a new young Team with very young and talented players and the fans in the back we make the first Place in Landensliga(League 6) and go back to the Verbandsliga.This was a great day in the history of the club. History: Foundet 1947 as SG Fritz Reuter Neubrandenburg 1950 renamed in BSG Energie Neubrandenburg 1952 as Turbine Neubrandenburg 1961 as SC Neubrandenburg 1964/1965 on Year in the Highest Class of Football in the GDR after 1965 as BSG Post Neubrandenburg lacatet on League II of the GDR with solid results. After the Reunion Neubrandenburg was set to league 4. 1990 Renamed to MSV Post Neubrandenburg 1991 another new name for the same Club SC Post Telekom Neubrandenburg 1993 known as FC Neubrandenburg 1995 it goes down from league 4 to 5. 1999 Fusion with SV Tollense Neubrandenburg to FC Tollense Neubrandenburg 29.06.2004 FC Tollense Neubrandenburg was disbaned 30.06.2004 the formaly Clubs FC Tollense and SV Nevag Neubrandenburg going together and the 1.FC Neubrandenburg 04 was Born. Yes my friends a long long story.Puhhhh. Hope you understand the most of it. thank you for your time and interest in our city and history... Roman ( 1FCN 04)..... German Fans in Clydebank The 1.FC Neubrandenburg 04 supporters have make a link and friendship to us friends from the Clydebank FC. The STORY BEGINS.. was that a fan from Neubrandenburg looking in the i-net to buying a shirt of a scottish or irish Football Club. He found the Shirt from the Clydebank FC and he says Hey looks Good. Michael Scharfer Scharf clicking on the webpages of the club and what he see interestet him. He see a club like ours. He told the other Fans from the supporterclub Vier-Tore-Inferno what he has found. All of us guys look at the sites and says Hey what a Club,thats ours.And we make contact with via internet with the guys and the boys from Scotland was very interested on us. Over months we talk with the bankies in the bankie-banter. Kirsche and ICE says Its time to plan a trip to scotland.And we do it. The flight goes in the 14.October to Glasgow and we very proud to shake hands with our friends in Scotland. It was a great weekend for the 6 FCN Supporters in Clydebank. First we see a game from the UCS Supporters Team and the the Cup game from the Bankies against Craigmark in the Glenhead Stadium to Clydebank.The People from the Club are very nice to us and the Provost of the Town welcome us in Clydebank.With our Friends from the East Coast Bankies we see a 4:1 Victory of our Bankies and we have a great time together. On the evening we have a Pub partie with the Bankie fans and in the next day we make a sigthseeing tour across scotland.We drive to Stirling Castle and the Wallace Monument after that we eat a little Haggis and have fun with our Friends. On Monday we fly Back to Good Old Germany.Before the flight we run across glasgow for a little sightseeing. Was a great pleassure for us to met our Scottish friends. Now we are all FCN- Bankies. The Supporters club and the 1.FCN 04 looking forward to say Welcome us Friends in 2007 in Neubrandenburg. Okay friends i hope you can read the most of it. Neubrandenburg Neubrandenburg is a young and modern city in the hart of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. There is the Tollense Lake, approximate 70.000 inhabitants surrounded by delightful nature and whole line of sights. Neubrandenburg is the city with the four gates (Stargarder Tor, Friedländer Tor, Neuses Tor, and Treptower Tor). During World War II most of the inner-city was destroyed but now it is all 100% restored and the city wall around it. The Wiekhäuser (small houses in the wall) is regarded as especially beautiful and well-managed. When walking along the avenue you could feel a touch of culture. These 56 m high high-rise buildings are a part of the Culture- and Art-centre. Neubrandenburg has its own theatre, an orchestra and even the worth mentioning Konzertkirche (The Concert church) and all around culture attractions. The Tollense Lake is all year around a central meeting ground. Volleyball in Broda, bathing in Augustabad or boat trips in the culture park, there is always something for everyone. And there is a bus line to Tollense Lake which leads to different localities on the way. The E.C.B. are looking to travel over 2007 so look out for more info soon.......
